Job Overview:
The Cath Lab Billing and Supply Coordinator is responsible for supporting hospital operations through accurate patient billing, insurance coordination, inventory tracking, and medical supply management. The Billing and Supply Coordinator ensures timely processing of billing documentation, maintains adequate inventory levels, and collaborates with clinical and administrative teams to support efficient patient care and operational excellence,
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Cardiovascular Technology, Business Administration, or related field required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical billing, hospital administration, inventory control, or related healthcare support role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
Preferred:
- Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance billing practices, and inventory systems preferred
Scheduling Requirements:
- Full-Time, Day, Salaried
- Onsite 5 days per week at Jersey City Medical Center
Essential Functions:
- Prepare, review, and process patient billing information accurately and timely
- Verify charges are accurate and work with Physicians on record completion to ensure timely billing
- Maintain billing records in compliance with hospital policies and healthcare regulations
- Coordinate with finance and coding departments to resolve discrepancies
- Monitor hospital and departmental inventory levels for medical and office supplies
- Order supplies and equipment according to hospital purchasing procedures
- Track incoming shipments and verify accuracy against purchase orders,
- Maintain organized storage areas and ensure proper stock rotation,
- Coordinate with vendors regarding deliveries, shortages, or damaged products
- Conduct routine inventory audits and prepare inventory reports
- Maintain accurate documentation and data entry within hospital management systems
- Generate billing and inventory reports for management review,
- Support compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and hospital safety standards,
- Assist with budget tracking and cost-control initiatives,
- Collaborate with nursing, clinical, and administrative staff to ensure operational efficiency,
