The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview: 

The Physical Therapist is responsible for the evaluation and treatment of patients in the acute care setting. Duties include patient and family intervention on all nursing units including, but not limited to: Orthopedics, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Oncology, Cardiac, Critical Care, Trauma, General Medicine and Telemetry, Emergency Department, and Pediatrics. This role requires strong teamwork, communication, and documentation skills for effective interdisciplinary communication. 

Qualifications: 

Required: 

  • Graduate of an accredited program in Physical Therapy at the baccalaureate or post-baccalaureate level

  • New Jersey board license and registration

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association

Preferred: 

  • Active membership in a professional organization is encouraged but not required 

Scheduling Requirements

  • Part-Time (24 hours/week)
  • Schedule: Thursday - Sunday (Days)
  • Weekend and holiday rotation required

Essential Functions: 

  • Responsible for evaluation and treatment of patients in the acute care setting

  • Provides patient and family intervention on all nursing units including, but not limited to: orthopedics, neurology, neurosurgery, oncology, cardiac, critical care, trauma, general medicine and telemetry, emergency department, and pediatrics

  • Demonstrates strong teamwork, communication, and documentation skills required for interdisciplinary communication
