Job Overview:

This is a Cardiac Technician role based within the Cardio Thoracic ICU unit for Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center. Located in Livingston, NJ, come join one of the best hospitals in New Jersey! 

Qualifications:

Required:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.) required.
• Completion of cardio thoracic step down unit technician orientation modules/class/clinical

Certifications and Licenses Required:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification

Scheduling Requirements:

• Days
• PT

Essential Functions:

• Assumes responsibility for patient care and monitoring before, during and after procedures under the direction and supervision of an RN Post Open Heart Procedure .
• Executes special assignments with the unit assigned to them by the Nurse Manager.
• Perform bedside ECG
• Perform Glucometer reading
• Admission set- up for Post open heart admission
• Restocking supplies and maintaining equipment for Post Open Heart Patients
• Assists post-op patients with mobility in collaboration with the nurse and physical therapist.
