Job Overview:

The Medical Assistant of Social Impact will be community-facing, which includes: attending community events where the individual will complete various health screenings, blood pressure, BMI, and blood draws. The CMA acts as a practice ambassador, contributing to overall patient experience, safety, and privacy.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED 

Certifications and Licenses Required:

• New Jersey Driver’s License
• Medical Assistant Certification: AAMA, AECA, AMCA, AMT, NAHP, NCCT, NCMA, or NHA

Scheduling Requirements:

• Day shift
• Monday - Friday
• Full-Time
• Night and Weekends hours are required

Essential Functions:

• Keep data on community events
• While in the community position, will promote and refer to hospital services
• When not attending community events, assist in Social Impact departments such as the JCMC Food Farmacy
• Duties will include assisting with food distribution, department intakes, stocking shelves, and interacting with patients
• Other duties as assigned
