Job Overview

The Lead Quality Assurance Coordinator will be responsible for assisting in the handling, preparation, storage and distribution of food to ensure that it is conducted in a safe, sanitary and timely manner,

Will also assist in making sure employees are following proper policies and procedures and assure the quality of food is served according to the correct standards for accuracy of diet, portion control, garnish and temperature.

Assists in assuring the correct operation of the assembly line,

Correctly assembles and distributes tube feedings and specialized nourishments using sanitary techniques,

Assists the department in all clerical functions for patient meal service through accurate menu processing and assisting patients with menu selections,

Demonstrates skills necessary to coordinate menu selections for pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatric patients,

The Lead Quality Assurance Coordinator will assemble and accurately check trays according to menu and diet order,

 Proper portion control is utilized with all items served, including patient requests for large or small portions,

Trays are neat and presentable and garnished according to department standards,

Process Room Service customer orders in a timely fashion (according to established policies), including patient/family-initiated orders and those patients needing assistance,

The Lead Quality Assurance Coordinator will also assist in training new Food Service workers,

Job Qualifications:

• Two years of experience in Healthcare Food Service
• Experience in preparing enteral tube feedings and baby formula,
• Associates or Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
•  

Scheduling Requirements

• Full Time Position
• Hours:11:30 am - 8 pm, 12 pm - 8:30 pm
• Every other weekend/holiday rotation required
•  

Essential Functions

• Prepares tube feeding and baby formula
• Accurately checks the patient's meal trays
• Stocks refrigerators and freezers according to proper procedure,
• Uses sanitary technique
• Delivers patient meal trays
• Collects soiled trays from patient rooms
