Job Overview:
Join the dedicated team at Trinitas Regional Medical Center as a Clinician within our Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Outpatient department. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive, culturally competent mental health services, assessments, and psychotherapy to a diverse patient population. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, life-changing care to children, adolescents, and their families.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bilingual English and Spanish proficiency (verbal and written).
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health field.
- Proven ability to perform age-specific assessments and interpret patient data across the lifespan, particularly for children and adolescents.
- Knowledge of growth/development milestones and criteria to identify victims of abuse and neglect.
Preferred:
- Doctorate of Psychology (PsyD / PhD) preferred.
- Experience in an outpatient psychiatric setting or community clinic environment.
Scheduling Requirements
- Full-Time (FT) – Day Shift
Essential Functions:
- Assess patient needs thoroughly using clinical interviews, chart and history reviews, and standardized clinical instruments.
- Design, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans including individual, group, and family psychotherapy.
- Maintain up-to-date, complete, and accurate records of patient information in accordance with department standards and regulatory policies.
- Interpret the nature of illnesses and prescribed courses of treatment to patients and families; communicate crucial family dynamics to staff.
- Collaborate actively as a member of the multidisciplinary team to assist in reviewing and updating patient treatment and discharge plans.
- Partner and coordinate care with other hospital programs and external community agencies involved with the patients and their families.
- Obtain appropriate and legally compliant releases of information for all care coordination.
- Render safe, age-specific care across the lifespan, with an expert focus on infants, neonates, children, and adolescents.
