Job Overview:

The Operating Room Support Technician is responsible for assisting the Perioperative team in maintaining maximum work levels, upholds policies and procedures in order to maintain a high level of service and professionalism to ensure CQI.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of inventory control techniques
• Proven work record and commitment towards continuing education BLS / Health Care Provider
• Successful completion of site personnel general orientation
• Successful completion of department specific orientation

Preferred:

• Certified Aide training program

Essential Functions:

• Maintain an environment that facilitates safe patient outcomes.
• Ensure patient’s physiologic responses to surgery are as expected in the surgical suite and across the perioperative.
• In collaboration with the perioperative registered nurse, the surgical technician will function as a member of the team to organize and administer individualized age-specific care to patients.
• Maintain an environment that facilitates safe patient outcomes, and ensure patients' physiologic responses to surgery are as expected in the surgical suite and across the perioperative division
