RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Nurse Manager in the Radiation Oncology department at the New Brunswick campus.
The RN Manager coordinates available resources to efficiently and effectively provide professional nursing care for all Radiation Oncology service line patients. Supports the advancement of nursing practices within Radiation Oncology Services to include Gamma Knife Center and Proton Therapy Unit so that the highest level of quality is consistently met.
This is a working bedside RN Manager role.
Qualifications:
Required:
- At least 5+ Years of Oncology Experience Required
- Previous RN management experience required
- BSN required, OCN required,
- ACLS and Telemetry experience required,
Preferred
- MSN preferred,
- 10 years of nursing experience with a focus in ambulatory and or oncology nursing preferred,

Essential Functions
- Participates in all patient care activities with the Attending Physician as assigned and coordinates the delivery of care,
- The primary responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting in communications with patients, triaging patient and patient issues, symptom management and teaching patients regarding their disease process and treatment,
- Responsible for evaluating, planning and delivering nursing care to meet individualized patient needs,
- Provide leadership in the delivery of patient care for Radiation Oncology services ensuring compliance with physician orders and established policies and procedures as demonstrated by:
- Assisting staff in establishing priorities for patient care needs,
- Serving as a resource for interpretation of regulatory requirements,
- Implementation of nursing policies and procedures of Radiation Oncology Department to include Gamma Knife & Proton Therapy,
- Monitoring and evaluating the standards of care for the departments as related to nursing by identifying areas for quality improvement,
- Plan, schedule and organize work for group ensuring proper distribution of assignments and efficient utilization of personnel, space and facilities,
