Job Overview:
The experienced Cath Lab RN is responsible for the general nursing activities in the Invasive Cardiovascular Lab (ICVL), providing quality patient care. The ICVL RN’s main function is to provide direct patient care effectively and efficiently to cardiovascular patients with varied and complex needs. The ICVL RN assumes general nursing activities with progressive responsibility, including but not limited to participating in or planning and presentation of departmental initiatives.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing program, Current New Jersey RN License.
- 2+ years’ experience in ICU/Critical Care required.
- 2+ years direct Cath Lab Procedural Nursing Experience, preferred.
- EKG, BLS via the American Heart Association, and ACLS Certification.
- Must live within 30 minutes of the hospital to meet the required response time for call shifts.
Scheduling Requirements:
- Day Shift, 7:00AM-7:30PM
- 12-Hour Shifts, On Call Shifts Required
Essential Functions:
As a Registered Nurse (RN), a typical day may include:
- Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and recognizing subtle clinical changes, using your judgment to intervene early and advocate for your patients
- Providing safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care grounded in strong clinical judgment
- Serving as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers, offering insight that supports timely, well-coordinated care decisions
- Providing clear, compassionate education to patients and families so they feel informed, supported, and prepared for the next phase of care
- Ensuring accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record to promote continuity and patient safety
- Contributing your voice during interdisciplinary rounds, helping drive seamless communication and smooth transitions of care
- Taking an active role in a highly collaborative team environment where shared accountability and teamwork directly impact outcomes

To be considered for this RN opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing and a current American Heart Association BLS certification. A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is strongly preferred, as is prior patient care experience and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC.
