Physical Therapy Aide Lead
RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a full-time Physical Therapy Aide Lead in Hillsborough, NJ. This is an exceptional opportunity for individuals aspiring to pursue a future career in physical therapy. In addition to standard rehab aide duties, you will assume leadership and operational responsibilities including inventory management, scheduling, and staff training.
A Typical Day
- Clinic Operations: Maintain supply inventory, handle general housekeeping, and enforce infection prevention protocols.
- Team Leadership: Assist with hiring, orienting, and training aides or volunteers; manage the aide shift schedule.
- Patient Care Support: Help physical therapists with patient transfers; retrieve treatment equipment like hot packs, cold packs, and electrical stimulation units.
- Equipment Care: Maintain strict cleaning, maintenance, and quality control standards for all clinical equipment.
- Administrative Aid: Assist with department clerical needs, including answering phones and taking messages.

To Be Considered:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Skills: Strong supervisory, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of rehabilitation aide experience.
- Knowledge: Basic understanding of anatomy and muscle movement terminology.
- Ability to work a full time schedule.
