The Marketing & Communications Specialist supports the Physician Recruitment team by coordinating and executing physician and advanced practice provider (APP) recruitment marketing initiatives. This role helps ensure recruitment advertisements, marketing campaigns, and vendor partnerships are managed effectively while supporting data-driven recruitment strategies that align with organizational goals.

Working closely with physician recruiters, marketing vendors, and internal stakeholders, this individual plays an important role in attracting top physician and APP talent across RWJBarnabas Health.

As a Marketing & Communications Specialist, a typical day might include:

  • Coordinating, posting, updating, and managing physician and APP recruitment advertisements across multiple advertising platforms and vendors.
  • Partnering with recruiters to ensure job advertisements and marketing materials are accurate, current, and aligned with recruitment priorities.
  • Supporting recruitment marketing campaigns, including social media, programmatic advertising, geofencing, email marketing, and other digital initiatives.
  • Assisting with the development and maintenance of recruitment marketing materials while ensuring consistency with RWJBarnabas Health branding standards.
  • Tracking advertising activity, campaign performance, applicant engagement, and vendor metrics to support reporting and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Assisting with vendor relationships, onboarding, contract documentation, and ongoing communications.
  • Supporting recruitment events, conferences, workforce marketing initiatives, and other special projects.
  • Maintaining organized marketing records and contributing to process improvement initiatives.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have:

A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Relations, or a related field.  Experience in marketing, communications, recruitment marketing, advertising, project coordination, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should possess strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Experience in healthcare recruitment, talent acquisition, healthcare marketing, digital advertising, social media marketing, marketing analytics, vendor management, or recruitment marketing is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate can work independently and collaboratively, manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing business needs, and provide outstanding customer service.
