A Typical Day
As an Exercise Physiologist, a typical day might include the following:
- Evaluating patient medical histories and conducting risk stratification to determine functional limitations and establish safe exercise goals.
- Administering and supervising clinical exercise interventions in accordance with accepted cardiac rehabilitation standards and organizational policies.
- Modifying individualized exercise prescriptions and care plans in collaboration with cardiologists, nurses, and the healthcare team.
- Developing safe and effective home-based exercise routines, lifestyle modification education, and risk factor reduction plans for patients and families.
- Maintaining accurate, objective, and timely clinical documentation of patient progress, physiological responses, and outcomes in the electronic medical record.
- Partnering with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to maintain the highest standards of safety, quality care, and clinical professionalism.
To be Considered:
To be considered for this opportunity you must meet the following criteria:
Education: Degree in Exercise Physiology
Experience: Experience in Cardiac Rehab (preferred)
- Certification: BLS Provider Certification through American Heart Association.
