As a Maintenance Worker, a typical day might include the following:

  • Performing scheduled compliance inspections and completing repairs as needed throughout the facility.
  • Conducting preventative maintenance activities to ensure building systems remain safe and operational.
  • Responding to patient-related concerns and other maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Inspecting the environment of care and identifying potential safety hazards before they become issues.
  • Supporting life safety initiatives, including fire boundary inspections and preventative maintenance of firefighting equipment.
  • Utilizing work request systems to document tasks, maintain records, and track completed work.
  • Coordinating and overseeing outside contractors to ensure work is completed safely and in accordance with organizational standards.
  • Contributing to a safe, comfortable, and healing environment for patients, visitors, and team members.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent and a minimum of one year of experience in hospital or industrial maintenance or construction. A valid New Jersey Driver License is required.
