Our Licensed Social Workers work collaboratively to promote optimal development and prevent psychological trauma in our patients navigating addiction and co-occurring disorders. By providing comprehensive programming and interventions, our specialists proactively engage our most vulnerable patients to provide connection and support. As a Licensed Social Worker within our Addictive Services division, a typical day might include the following:
- Conducting comprehensive substance abuse and mental health intakes for DSRIP patients who agree to treatment.
- Running structured group therapy sessions to support patient recovery and therapeutic milestone progression.
- Providing direct, individualized treatment for patients and families navigating the recovery journey.
- Completing accurate clinical notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries according to established policies and procedures.
- Facilitating seamless resource linkages and active case-management workflows for patients on your caseload.
- Communicating consistently with referral agencies through a structured monthly call list schedule.
- Completing weekly DSRIP data reports tracking critical patient clinical outcomes.
- Conducting satisfaction surveys with patients receiving treatment to ensure high-quality care.
- Utilizing the facility transport van when necessary to perform field outreach to patient homes, local shelters, or transit stations.

To Be Considered:
- Education: Minimum of a Master’s degree (MSW) in Social Work or a closely related mental health field is required.
- Licensure & Certification: Active New Jersey state licensure as a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is required. An active LCADC (Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor) is required.
- Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of post-graduate clinical experience working directly with an addictions or substance use disorder population.
- Compliance Onboarding: Successful completion of a mandatory network-paid New Jersey state-level criminal history record background check and fingerprint check prior to hire.
- Recovery Compliance: All candidates in recovery must attest to having a minimum of one year of continuous sobriety/abstinence and sign an official Affidavit of Recovery upon hire.
