Job Overview:
Under the supervision of a Department of Food and Nutrition Services Supervisor or Manager, the Food Service Worker performs a wide variety of routine tasks such as itemize total food/beverage orders and ring orders into the cash register.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Basic math skills
- Ability to run a cash register efficiently and handle cash properly
Preferred:
- Prior cashier experience preferred
Scheduling Requirements
- Shift: Evening
- Status: Per Diem
- Position may require work every other weekend depending on the department’s needs.
Essential Functions:
- Itemize total food/beverage orders and ring orders into the cash register
- Collects payment from customers and makes change, maintains accuracy of the cash drawer
- Reconciles cash receipts to sales to verify accuracy of all transactions
- Maintain areas of the serving line.
