Senior Mental Health Clinician

As a Senior Mental Health Clinician, a typical day might include the following:
- Providing comprehensive clinical assessments, crisis interventions, and evaluations for hospitalization for children, adolescents, and their families residing in Monmouth County.
- Coordinating critical crisis services and safe patient dispositions within the framework of the Children's Crisis Intervention Services (CCIS) system.
- Prioritizing preventive outreach to the community as a strategic effort to divert minors from emergency room visits.
- Delivering direct education to the community through engaging in-person and virtual presentations.
- Representing the department and program effectively at designated county meetings.
- Formulating safe, collaborative care plans by consulting with family members, medical personnel, and community resources.
- Completing thorough, accurate clinical and state legal documentation in a timely manner.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have:
- Master’s degree (MA/MS) in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling required.
- Two (2) years of prior experience and/or training working with children, adolescents, and families in a mental health setting required.
- Demonstrated experience and/or training in crisis intervention and psychiatric assessment.
- Proven experience with public speaking and community presentations.
- Eligible to obtain a Screening Certification Number upon hire.
- Must possess and maintain a valid N.J. State Driver’s License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within three (3) months of hire.
- Schedule: Full-Time, Evening Shift (40 hours per week).
- Flexible shift hours working 4 days per week.
- Weekend commitment required (1 weekend day every other weekend).
- Mandatory rotation of one (1) winter holiday and one (1) summer holiday per year.
