A typical day for a Phlebotomist may include:

• Collecting blood and other laboratory specimens from both inpatient and outpatient populations using established phlebotomy techniques.
• Accurately identifying, labeling, processing, and preparing specimens for laboratory testing while maintaining specimen integrity.
• Ensuring all specimens are handled according to laboratory standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Providing compassionate, professional patient interactions while helping patients feel comfortable throughout the specimen collection process.
• Verifying patient identification and following established procedures to promote patient safety and accurate testing.
• Maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring timely transport of specimens to the laboratory for analysis.
• Collaborating closely with nurses, physicians, laboratory staff, and other members of the healthcare team to support efficient patient care.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following infection prevention practices, safety guidelines, and organizational policies.
• Pursuing continued professional development through training, education, and organizational resources that support long-term career growth.

To be considered for this Phlebotomist opportunity you must:

• Be passionate about delivering safe, accurate, and compassionate specimen collection services that support high-quality patient care.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Successfully completed an accredited phlebotomy training program.
• A minimum of (1) one year of previous phlebotomy experience is required.
• Experience working in a hospital setting is preferred.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative healthcare team are essential.
• Scheduling: Full Time (FT), Evening shift from 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
• Must be available to work every other weekend and rotating holidays as required.
