Job Summary:
Provide patient services using diagnostic CT scan equipment.
The technologist is competent in the production of quality images to be used by physicians for patient diagnosis and treatment,
In addition, the individuals must be prepared to rend quality care by exercising discretion and good judgment,
Rotation of holidays, weekends, and coverage during operational hours as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate approved school of Radiologic Technology
- Licensed by State NJ DEP
- Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiography ARRT
- CT certification preferred
- Maintains required BLS Heart Saver Health Care Provider course completion status
- Successful completion of all required orientation programs
- FUNCTIONS Employ professional judgment and discretion while performing all imaging procedures
Image all STAT and Routine CT exams to include Stroke patients,
Demonstrate competency with the use of EPIC and PACS,
Maintain clean examination rooms and work environment in all areas as well as maintain stock levels in all procedure rooms,
Perform daily calibration and quality assurance checks as requested,
Report all equipment problems to the supervisor and enter an LT work order as appropriate,
Utilize principles of radiation protection for self and patients for every examination,
Utilize proper positioning and technical factors to assure diagnostic quality images for interpretation,
Provides a compassionate and supportive environment with prompt and consistent service,
Adheres to patient rights: provides for the confidential treatment of all communications and records,
Demonstrates professionalism with families, visitors, physicians, co-workers and supervisors,
Listens and communicates effectively,
Supports teamwork by cooperative problem solving through participation in meetings, projects, etc,
Utilizes principles of continuous quality improvement in all work situations to assess, measure and improve organizational and department functions,
Organizes work sets priorities with a minimum of supervision and seeks guidance as appropriate,
Makes decisions that are timely and consistent with department, objectives, policies and procedures,
Demonstrates sound judgment; accepts and benefits from constructive criticism,
Participates in ongoing education as required,
