A typical day for a Radiation Therapist may include:

• Adheres to strict radiation safety guidelines
• Communicates clearly and concisely with all members of the healthcare team, patients and families
• Completes all Simulation and Treatment summaries, reports documentations accurately
• Educates and observes patients regarding procedures, skin care, side effects and nutrition
• Interprets and implements prescription and treatment plan as directed by the Radiation Oncologist
• Operates therapeutic equipment, demonstrates proper patient positioning and monitoring of the patient during treatment
• Performs Simulation procedures and prepares immobilization devices for various anatomical sites
• Performs all other duties as assigned
• Performs daily, weekly and monthly warm up and quality assurance procedures
• Serves as a technical resource person for implementing new techniques or technology

To be considered for this Radiation Therapist opportunity, you must:

• Graduate of Accredited Radiation Oncology Technology Program.
• Valid NJ State License as a Radiation Oncology Therapist.
• Registered or Registry eligible by the A.R.R.T.
• Successful completion of all orientation programs.
• Maintains required BLS Heart Saver/Health Care Provider through American Heart Association
