Director Patient Care Surgical Services

We are seeking an accomplished Director Patient Care Surgical Services to advance our mission of delivering innovative, compassionate nursing care. This pivotal role provides clinical and operational leadership for the surgical services within the new Cancer Center, overseeing three operating rooms, 12 pre-operative/post-operative bays, and Central Sterile Processing. As the Director Patient Care Surgical Services, a typical day may include:

  • Directing daily operations of the surgical services within the new Cancer Center, including scheduling, patient flow, and facilities management to ensure timely, safe, and high-quality care.
    • Director is responsible for establishing and maintaining a culture of clinical excellence, patient safety, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement while supporting the successful development and growth of the new ambulatory surgical program
    • The RN Director provides leadership in recruitment, retention, onboarding, education, competency validation, performance management, succession planning, and professional development
    • The RN Director is accountable for the overall clinical operations, quality, safety, staffing, patient experience, regulatory compliance, and performance of the assigned areas,
    • The Director serves as a visible, hands-on leader who fosters autonomy, accountability, professional growth, and development of the nursing and support teams,

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have an active New Jersey RN license and a minimum of a BSN. A MSN or related field is preferred.  One to three years of nursing leadership/management experience preferred, with experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred. Intraoperative OR nursing experience preferred. National nursing certification preferred. ACLS, BLS and PALS certification through the American Heart Association
