As a Patient Service Representative (PSR), you will be a key member of the practice team, partnering with physicians, managers, and support staff to deliver an exceptional patient experience and ensure efficient day-to-day operations.

As a Patient Service Representative (PSR), a typical day might include the following:

• Welcoming patients and performing patient check-in and check-out functions with professionalism and compassion.
• Preparing for patient visits by reviewing schedules and ensuring all necessary information is available.
• Scheduling patient appointments and coordinating follow-up visits as needed.
• Answering routine questions in person and over the telephone while providing exceptional customer service.
• Performing clerical responsibilities including copying, scanning, faxing, sorting, and distributing mail.
• Creating, maintaining, filing, and organizing patient health record information.
• Coordinating with insurance providers and handling pre-authorizations and certifications as necessary.
• Protecting patient privacy and contributing to a safe, efficient, and welcoming practice environment.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of two years of front desk receptionist or scheduling experience in a busy, multi-physician practice (preferrably seeing seeing on average >50 patients per day). Experience with electronic medical record systems, appointment scheduling, managing busy phone lines, insurance verification, copay collection, and patient check-in and check-out processes is required. An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Bilingual abilities and knowledge of the EPIC system are a plus. Travel to Millburn anchor office for coverage as needed. Also possible travel for coverage regionally 45 minutes of anchor location. 

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:30pm, Full-Time 40 hours per week
