  • Performing and documenting nursing interventions within the LPN scope of practice and in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures

  • Monitoring patient conditions, recognizing changes in clinical status, and promptly communicating concerns to the Charge Nurse, Nurse Manager, or supervising Registered Nurse

  • Taking appropriate nursing actions within the LPN scope of practice while accurately recording and reporting patient observations and responses to care

  • Collaborating with Registered Nurses and interdisciplinary team members to implement individualized nursing care plans and rehabilitation interventions

  • Supporting continuity of care through effective communication, timely documentation, and coordination with the nursing and rehabilitation teams

  • Participating in patient and family education under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to reinforce care plans and support ongoing healthcare needs

  • Promoting patient comfort, dignity, safety, and emotional well-being while providing developmentally appropriate nursing care

  • Recognizing and respecting patient and family rights while maintaining cultural and religious sensitivity throughout the care experience

  • Seeking guidance from Registered Nurses, nursing leadership, and appropriate clinical resources when patient care needs require additional support

  • Maintaining professional accountability by following nursing standards, organizational policies, and established patient safety practices

  • Participating in ongoing professional development, self-evaluation, and learning opportunities to strengthen clinical competencies and nursing practice

This role might be for you if:

  • You bring patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach to supporting children with diverse physical, developmental, and emotional needs

  • You are comfortable participating in patient and family education while reinforcing established nursing care plans

  • You respect patient and family preferences and are committed to providing culturally sensitive, family-centered care

  • You are dependable, adaptable, and comfortable working in a pediatric inpatient environment with varying patient care needs

  • You demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and a willingness to seek guidance and continuously develop your clinical skills
