The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.
Job Overview:
Provides day to day oversight of the EEG scheduling, billing, and other departmental processes. Provides guidance and clinical supervision as well as competency assessment of other EEG technicians. Assists with policy and procedure development in collaboration with the medical director and coordinator of EEG. Performs routine, sleep, portable, death determination, neonatal EEG recordings and video EEG monitoring for adult and pediatric patients. Patient population includes neonates to geriatrics. Shares on-call and weekend coverage as required. Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- Completion of an accredited/formal EEG program or “on the job training” required.
- Neuroanatomy course a plus. AHA, BLS Certification required.
- Registry Required.
- One to three years previous experience in hospital related environment required.
Scheduling Requirements:
- Full-Time
- Day Shift
- 40 hours per week
- Weekends/holiday requirements
- Required to share on-call coverage as required
