The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

Coordinates nursing care and wound care activities in conjunction with the philosophy, policies, procedures and program plans of the hospital. Evaluates appropriateness of wound consults, coordinates care/patient education and follow-up. Acts as a liaison with physicians and other health care team members. Participates in house-wide skin/wound care programs for staff education and patient care as needed, including Prevalence and Competency Day. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Nursing required,
  • Master s Degree in Nursing preferred,
  • Minimum of two years experience in wound care
  • National Wound/Ostomy Certification required
  • Knowledge of principles of adult learning
  • Experience using an electronic health record, preferably Epic
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with others effectively
  • Competent in use of all Microsoft Office applications
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • AHA BLS and ACLS Provider required
  • Current New Jersey RN license

Schedule requirements:

PT day shift 24 hours per week
